there is no total surrender. Following and flowing with the Spirit of God need courage not to compromise.
Do not let the authenticity of your True Self be compromised when the Spirit of God leads you, because there will be times when you need to disagree with social norms to follow the directives of Divine Intelligence.
Beware of enslavement, so that you will not be under at the mercy of other people, for the nature of human social programming is slavery. It seeks to enslave you, hook you, and possess you. There is no freedom even in your thoughts that are influenced by your dysfunctional mind.
